Online Learning Platforms for Mathematics

Hello Everyone,

Here I am sharing with you some Websites, YouTube channels, Blogs and applications from where you can add something to your knowledge base.

There are plenty of online learning platforms for learning mathematics but here I am sharing with you the links which I have been personally using since long.

Have a look on it!

Websites:

1) Khan Academy:

Khan Academy is a non-profit educational organization created in 2008 by Salman Khan (not Bollywood actor 😀) with the goal of creating a set of online tools that help educate students. The organization produces short lessons in the form of videos. Its website also includes supplementary practice exercises and materials for educators. All resources are freely available to users of the website and app. 

There are thousands of videos on this website. According to a survey if you watch one video a day then it will took more than 8 years to go through all the videos.

All the concepts are explained in a very simple manner.


2) Unacademy:

Unacademy is India's largest learning platform having paid (Plus Course) as well as unpaid courses for the preparation of different competitive exams like UPSC, Bank, CSIR-UGC-NET, etc.
      
     3) MIT Open Course Ware:

MIT OCW is an initiative of the Massachusetts Institute of Technology (MIT) to publish all of the educational materials from its undergraduate and graduate level courses online, freely and openly available to anyone, anywhere.

We all know that MIT is the world's best university and we are fortunate that by sitting at our home we can have the lectures of MIT faculties. 

Here I am providing you the link for the courses related to mathematics.

     
     4) NPTEL:
      
   National Programme on Technology Enhanced Learning (NPTEL) is an initiative funded by MHRD, Government of India and coordinated by IITs as well as IISc. The central idea of the project is to put recorded lectures taught by its member institutes online for open access. It is has of the most extensive educational YouTube channel covering engineering, basic sciences, and some humanities and social sciences subjects.
     

     5) BYJU's App:
  
BYJU's is a learning application founded by Mr. Raveendran. It provides educational content mainly to school students from classes 1 to 12. This app also offers courses to students for entrance examinations in India such as IIT-JEE, NEET, CAT, CSE as well as for international examinations such as GRE and GMAT.

This app really help to visualize all the basic concepts through wonderful animated videos. 


YouTube Channels:
     
    1) Rahul Mapari:
     
This channel is useful for the preparation of CSIR-NET exam for Mathematical Sciences. 


     2) Dips Academy:

    Dips Academy is a well known institute for the preparation of CSIR-NET exam for Mathematical Sciences situated at Delhi. They have uploaded some lectures, question solving sessions and also the videos related to the strategy to qualify in the exam.

     3) Real Analysis_NPTEL:
           
    This playlist consists of 52 videos uploaded by NPTEL. From these videos you can learn a lot and strengthen your knowledge of Real Analysis. It will be useful for undergraduate as well as post graduate level.

    4) Essence of Linear Algebra:

   This playlist of 15 videos is uploaded by very famous YouTube channel "3 Blue 1 Brown". These videos are extremely useful to visualize the concepts and meanings of some of the most important terms in Linear Algebra like Basis, Determinant, Span, Vectors, etc. After watching these videos you will surely fall in love with Linear Algebra.

     5) MIT_Linear Algebra:
   
This playlist of 36 videos is a course of Linear Algebra taught by Prof. Gilbert Strang, a very well known professor of MIT.


6) Abstract Algebra:
    
This playlist consist of beautifully animated videos to understand the concepts of Group Theory and Ring Theory. Many important terms in Abstract Algebra are hard to visualize and therefore hard to understand but through these videos you will learn a lot and will be inspired to read more about the subject.


7) Introduction to Research:

These videos are uploaded by NPTEL to give us some fundamentals of research work. If you are new to research work or willing to go for research then these are some must see videos which will introduce you the world of research. This will help you in M.Phill, Ph.D as well as for the project work of your post graduate program. 


8) Power Point:

We all know that power point is a very powerful and essential tool to convey our message to the large audience. Further, it is compulsory in our academic as well as in corporate world to make the presentation through PPT. This channel will help you to make PPT like a professional. 


Blog:

1) Parveen Chhikara:
     
From this blog you will have a lot of updates about competitive exams like CSIR NET, IIT-JAM, GATE, NBHM, etc. Also you will get some test series of different subjects and prepare for these exams.
